If you are providing medical education to physicians, or if you’d like to, it might make sense for your organization to become accredited. Be aware, though, that not all organizations qualify to become accredited.
To ensure that your organization meets the expectations and to be sure that becoming accredited makes sense for your organization and the volume of accredited education you provide, the SSCC has a pre-application process.
The pre-application process starts with a conversation with MSV’s program manager for the recognized accreditor program. In that conversation, we’ll explore your needs and capabilities, and we’ll help you come to a decision that’s right for your organization. If it seems that becoming accredited is a good move for you, you’ll be asked to submit a Pre-Application to the SSCC. The pre-application process is more in-depth than the initial conversation and is intended to confirm that your organization is indeed eligible and has the necessary infrastructure and processes in place. After its submission, the SSCC will review and decide on your pre-application within four weeks (but typically sooner).
Becoming an accredited CME provider is not a complicated or difficult process, and we will be available to help you throughout.

To become an accredited provider, an organization has to meet the ACCME definition of an eligible organization. An eligible organization is one whose mission and function are one of the following:
An ineligible company is one whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products or services that are used on or by patients.
